At the intersection of true activewear and a cool off duty look is Meira Active's open-front cardigan style - our Activewear Cardigan with Zip Pockets! After our personal shopping experiences came up short in finding this hybrid of chic-active functionality in an overgarment, we got to work creating. Suited to several body types we wanted to create the PERFECT cardigan for women wanting to feel both stylistically elevated and comfortable for a variety of situations: the grocery run, school drop-off, office, hike, vacation, travel, a walk through the neighborhood, running to town or walking a trail, plus several others. After several women gave us feedback that pockets are high priority for them in active apparel we incorporated roomy zip pockets perfect for keeping a phone, wallet, snacks and other loose items secure into this hybrid open-front cardigan style. The open front design eliminates heaviness of buttons or other weighty closures keeping this piece lighter and easier to wear and enabling freedom to toss it on and off throughout your day or week. The wide hood creates a great barrier from misty air, an unexpected drizzle or even as a shield from the sun (with UV blocking fabric)! Thumb hole detail adds hand warmth and protection. We love this piece not only for its functionality and medium weight fabric (making it a super versatile addition to your activewear wardrobe) but for its chic style as well. The open front style makes this versatile piece easy to outfit a t-shirt with short or long sleeves, a thin sweater layer and work out tank styles. Even though we can see this piece with certain jeans or a cute tennis skirt, she's a true perfect partner to our Smooth Duo® Best Pocket Legging.
