THE STORY BEHIND THE TEA:
This month we are featuring a blend that won our customer appreciation contest last year. This recipe was submitted to us by community member Valerie. It’s a blend that’s a story about remembrance – she lost her husband to lung cancer, and reflected on the jasmine tea he found so comforting, and the addition of elderberries for immune support.
I added a splash of almond to provide a nutty, comforting, grounding presence and bring the two together. Floral and tart and nutty elements all in one tea sound like a motley crew, but I think they come together in a uniquely comforting way, and a wonderful flavor for awaking our palate for spring.
