We are putting our Fossil Planters “back in the vault” and will no longer be replenishing their stock (for now).
This collection is inspired by stromatolites: a natural fossilized sculpture of cyanobacteria, made up of colonies of microbes that were some of the earliest known forms of life on Earth. Our planters are similarly organic, symmetrical, and full of life- ancient and modern.
At 12” long and 5.5” wide, this long, narrow planter is perfect for a wide window sill and is the ideal shape to grow fresh herbs or plant a row of succulents.
Planter Stands: A planter stand serves two purposes- it raises your potentially wet catchplate off your floor or table, and they also help your plant get a little closer to a light source. It goes without saying that they also look incredible! The wood Mike uses to make these plant stands is domestically harvested Ash, and finished with a clear oil that highlights the beautiful woodgrain as it darkens and matures over time
A note on variation for this Planter: Like all of our products, variation and slight irregularities are a reflection of the process. Long shapes like this Planter are particularly prone to undulating on the long walls, we love how it makes each one of these planters a little different from its siblings.
